To be with good friends is nice, but better yet is to think twice about bad friends.
Commentary by Kyoshu Sama: The Nirvana sutra refers to the Buddha as a good friend. A "good friend" can also be a follower who is in oneness with the Buddha. In this sense, those who obstruct one's faith are "bad friends".
